I recently visited Palm Springs and today I tried to sketch my impressions of the landscape and colors as I took my rental car back to the airport there to return it. I also remember the cement and pavement and road signs and telephone poles and shop signs. But for this sketch I focused on the natural elements and colors of that desert area. This isn't a realistic representation but rather a fantasy of what it could look like. This is all digital, done in photoshop with a small wacom bamboo brand digital drawing tablet. It took about 30 minutes to do.
